The Architect
Designed by Acclaimed
Allford Hall Monaghan Morris
Founded in 1989, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) is an award-winning global architecture firm known for its thoughtful, context-driven design and reinvention of urban spaces and buildings.
For 1 Riva Row, their design responds directly to its unique setting along The Woodlands Waterway, pairing a refined 13-story tower with a more intimate four-story mass to reflect the neighborhood’s scale and character. A sculptural entrance pavilion connects these two elements, while the concealed parking and landscaped plaza create a seamless pedestrian experience. With a palette that features a gradient of locally inspired brick tones, AHMM’s design honors Texas’ architectural heritage while introducing a new icon to The Woodlands skyline.
The Design
From the Visionary MaRS Culture

For 1 Riva Row, MaRS Culture created interiors that blend upscale design with effortless livability, pairing resort-style amenities with a refined, modern aesthetic. From the indoor/outdoor pool deck and two-story fitness center to co-working spaces and the sky lounge, every element is thoughtfully curated to support connection, comfort, and contemporary living. The result is a fully realized environment where each space tells a visual story rooted in beauty, function, and design integrity.

The Art
1 Riva Row Art Collection
At 1 Riva Row, art is an integral part of the experience. Through a curated collection of commissioned works, each piece from world-class artists was thoughtfully selected for 1 Riva Row’s shared spaces.
Highlights include Brandon Mike’s immersive plaster wall installations and Yuriko Yamaguchi’s intricate lobby sculptures, both anchoring the entry experience with dimension and depth. At the pool, Mallory Morrison’s ethereal photography is reimagined as a vibrant tile mosaic, while Christian Vieler adds a playful touch to the pet spa through his expressive animal portraits.
